      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;B&gt;No, if there has been&amp;nbsp;&lt;I&gt;no activity&lt;/I&gt;.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/B&gt;Having said that, keep in mind that you may have had state registrations, etc. that had a few&amp;nbsp;&lt;I&gt;start-up&amp;nbsp;&lt;/I&gt;costs.&amp;nbsp; These costs (up to $5,000) may be reported (as a loss) on Schedule C for 2017 if you do anticipate that the DBA will be earning income beginning in 2018.&amp;nbsp; Also, if the DBA is also registered as an LLC, the state may have other reporting requirements.&amp;nbsp; Still, if there was no&amp;nbsp;&lt;I&gt;business activity&lt;/I&gt;, you would not need to report the DBA on a Schedule C for 2017.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
