When they going to update form 8606?

i am trying to finish a return and i need form 8606 but is no updated yet,when are going to update this form?

I know the IRS paper form is not expected to be out till 2/8/18, which means the electronic version is always shortly after and needs to be tested, hence the added delay.

I am sorry about the delays, so many last minute IRS changes. The reason the 8606 is delayed this year is due to hurricane tax relief provisions that require some changes to the form and IRS computer programming.

What's the deal with IRS form 8606. This form has been available for at least several days on the IRS site. You all are saying available 2/12/20? Why?
