    <title>topic 1099 to 1040 question. in Retirement tax questions</title>
    <link>https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/retirement/discussion/1099-to-1040-question/01/674989#M64421</link>
<description>I am a consultant and received a 1099 that represented two checks; one dated January (for work performed in 2016), and one dated December 29, 2016 (that was received January 4, 2017 and is intended for work to be performed in 2017), both from the same company. Their tax attorney indicates I merely need to show what their 1099 will, but to deduct the Dec. check from the line below on the 1040, file accordingly, and show the Dec. check for 2107 tax filing. I will of course be paying the 1040est for that amount soon. Question is, how can I perform this in Turbotax?&lt;BR /&gt;Thank you.</description>
