      <description>&lt;P&gt;Yes, you can claim expenses as medical expenses paid with your distribution. &amp;nbsp;Also, the early withdrawal (before you reach age 59 1/2 qualifies as an exception to 10% additional tax penalty.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;When you enter your form 1099-R into TurboTax (and be sure to enter it exactly as it appears), please answer follow up questions to claim that exception if that's your case.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;OL&gt;
