      <description>But the big question going on is this: "are rental properties a business"?&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;Unfortunately, this is a big "gray area" with no clear-cut answer, but in MANY cases the answer is YES, which means a 1099-MISC is required.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I would recommend filing the 1099-MISCs, *ESPECIALLY* if the rentals show a profit.</description>
