      <description>&lt;P&gt;If you are &lt;I&gt;Married Filing Jointly&lt;/I&gt;, and both receive Social Security benefits, only enter the &lt;B&gt;&lt;I&gt;2017 Taxable Social Security Benefit &lt;/I&gt;&lt;/B&gt;amount for the &lt;I&gt;&lt;B&gt;person receiving the Lump Sum Payment&lt;/B&gt;&lt;/I&gt;&lt;B&gt;.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/B&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If you enter the '&lt;I&gt;Taxable Social Security Benefits&lt;/I&gt;' amount from your 2017 return, the amount would be too large it it included both of your Social Security benefits.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Here's more info:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;
