      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;B&gt;&lt;I&gt;Yes,&lt;/I&gt;&lt;/B&gt; it matters and&lt;I&gt;&lt;B&gt; yes&lt;/B&gt;&lt;/I&gt; it can be corrected.&amp;nbsp; The IRS has a matching program and will be looking for a 1099-R with the same name and identifying number as was reported to them on your return.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;To correct this issue, please revisit your &lt;B&gt;Federal&lt;/B&gt; return, &lt;B&gt;Wages &amp;amp; Income&lt;/B&gt; tab. Scroll down to &lt;B&gt;Retirement Plans and Social Security&lt;/B&gt; and then &lt;B&gt;Show more&lt;/B&gt;.&amp;nbsp; &lt;U&gt;&lt;I&gt;Revisit&lt;/I&gt;&lt;/U&gt; the subject &lt;B&gt;IRA, 401(k), Pension Plan Withdrawals (1099-R)&lt;/B&gt; and &lt;U&gt;&lt;I&gt;edit&lt;/I&gt;&lt;/U&gt; the suspect 1099-R.&amp;nbsp; The first question is "&lt;SPAN&gt;&lt;B&gt;Verify the Owner of This 1099-R&lt;/B&gt;."&amp;nbsp; Make sure the radio button is selected for the correct taxpayer.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
