Was there an amount in box 2a of your 1099R? Revisit the 1099R topic and walk through the screens again- you could have possibly missed a box somewhere.

There was no figure on Box 2a. Is that good ?

That means that the company issuing the 1099R could not determine the taxable amount. You need to determine the taxable amount. Retirement income from where? IRA, 401k pension? Does the account have basis?
