Turbo Tax is trying to forece Retirement Savings Contribution Credit into my return to negate the free method, it cost $2 more than it saves I cant seem to delete it

When I go to edit Retirement Savings Contribution Credit it just wants to check and ask for an uprade again. My savings is 77 the cost for filing then is 79, hell no.

Go back to My Info and change your occupation to Student as this will eliminate the Saver's Credit from being included on your tax return.

Go to the Retirement Saver screen and tell the software that you were a student in 2025, and it will disqualify you for the credit, and let you stay in the Free Edition.

Federal>Deductions and Credits>Retirement and Investments>Retirement Savings Contribution Credit

Or—-Use this IRS site for other ways to file for free. There are 8 free software versions available from the IRS Free File site
