      <description>&lt;P&gt;No. Your BENEFEDS payments are &lt;STRONG&gt;not&lt;/STRONG&gt; included in your &lt;STRONG&gt;Form 1099-R&lt;/STRONG&gt;.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Because you paid BENEFEDS directly while waiting for your annuity to be finalized, those payments happened completely outside of the OPM system. Therefore, OPM has no record of that money.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;To gain an accurate picture of what you paid for the year, you will need three different sources:&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;UL&gt;
 &lt;LI&gt;Your final 2024 paystubs&lt;/LI&gt;
 &lt;LI&gt;Your BENEFEDS Account&lt;/LI&gt;
 &lt;LI&gt;Your OPM Annuity Statement&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;/UL&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Note: Your premium payments may be deductible. However, you &lt;STRONG&gt;must itemize&lt;/STRONG&gt; deductions and your total medical expenses must &lt;STRONG&gt;exceed 7.5%&lt;/STRONG&gt; of your Adjusted Gross Income (&lt;STRONG&gt;AGI&lt;/STRONG&gt;).&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;If you are a retired &lt;STRONG&gt;public safety officer&lt;/STRONG&gt;, there is a special provision to exclude up to &lt;STRONG&gt;$3,000 &lt;/STRONG&gt;of health care premiums. In order to claim this credit, however, you will need to enter it manually because it is &lt;STRONG&gt;not&lt;/STRONG&gt; included in your &lt;STRONG&gt;Form 1099-R&lt;/STRONG&gt;. To claim that credit, you will answer the prompts when completing your Form 1099-R information.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
