topic 457b ROTH contribution is being included in Excess IRA contribution in TurboTax in Retirement tax questions

Hello,

For Tax Year 2025

I have excess IRA contributions that I am in the process of reversing. However, Turbo Tax is also including my 457b ROTH contribution to the Excess IRA contribution. I understand that 457b contributions have a separate limit that is separate from the IRA limit through employer of $23500.

How can I get Turbo Tax to reflect the correct amount of Excess Contribution in the form.

In the meantime, I am also working reversing that Excess Contribution (+ Earnings). I will then add the Earnings to my Income for the tax year 2025.

Thanks for all feedback

457b contributions are made by payroll deduction and are reported on your W-2 and captured by Turbotax automatically. Even if it is a Roth designated account, you do not also report it on the Roth IRA section of Turbotax.
