does anyone know where you enter the taxes that we have to pay when we withdraw fund from an IRA RMD

Your tax withholding is reported on your 1099-R in Box 4 for federal or Box 14 for state or Box 17 for local. TurboTax will automatically the 1099-R payments to your return.

When you enter the 1099R for your retirement account distribution, you are supposed to enter federal tax withheld in box 4. If any state tax was withheld it goes in box 14.
