    <description>&lt;P&gt;Why is turbo tax not creating a 1040 SR form.&amp;nbsp; Instead, it is creating a 1040.&amp;nbsp; Husband is over 65 and I am not.&amp;nbsp; We file married couple.&amp;nbsp; His income is retirement and IRA distribution, and I have a W2 and 2 1099-NEC.&amp;nbsp; We mae less this year than last and 2024 turbo tax created the 1040 SR form.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I understand they are pretty much the same but why is is not creating the senior form.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;If you print it out, it will print on 1040SR since one of you is 65 or older. &amp;nbsp; The Form 1040 and 1040SR are not just "pretty much" the same. &amp;nbsp;They are identical and all of the calculations are done in exactly the same way. &amp;nbsp;The difference is in the size of the print. &amp;nbsp; Your tax due or refund are not affected in any way whatsoever.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
