The 8606 has been completed and is being distributed with the updates.

For individual federal and state returns, you can use this tool to look up your form, and get an expected release date.

I've checked several times today for updates and nothing. I went to the forms page and it shows that 8606 should be available now.

It depends. When checking the Tax Form Availability Form 8606 is ready for TurboTax Online, (as indicated by our tax expert @JohnB5677). And it will be available in TurboTax Desktop on January 28th.

believe they bundle s/w updates into a weekly release which is usually mid-week, presumably the online platform has more flexibility to release things piecemeal.

Desktop vs online distinction is in the top right corner of Tax Form Availability . You can choose online or desktop, then select type, return, and form.

it's in the desktop s/w release that is available this morning, check for updates.

@AmyC @DianeW777 @JohnB5677 pls consider this s/w release delay when providing date estimates going forward to save more frustration, folks are watching these dates closely - this happened last week with 1099R (told 1/21, available 1/22) and again this week with 8606 (told 1/28, available 1/29).
