The withdrawal was in 2025. The pension distribution will be reported on an IRS form 1099-R to be issued next January and reported on your 2025 tax return.

It is possible that the TurboTax software will ask questions about the RMD and whether the RMD requirement has been met.

I turned 73 in November. I failed to take my RMD before the end of the year. I subsequently understood that I had until April 1 to take my RMD. I took it in February. Should I include it in my 2024 tax return or in my 2025 taxes?

Your RMD requirement for 2024 was -0- and due to TurboTax bugs,

that's what you have to respond to any questions.

Unless you are reporting other actions, you should not be getting any questions because you have no 1099-R to enter.

@tiki2
