      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-size:14px;"&gt;Conversions from a Traditional IRA to a Roth IRA do not count as a Roth IRA contribution and there is no limit to the amount that can be converted. &amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-size:14px;"&gt;Since you have already done the conversion and you have a Form 1099-R reporting the distribution from your Traditional IRA, that Form 1099-R is reported as part of your tax return. &amp;nbsp;If the money in the Traditional IRA was tax-deferred or pre-tax, then the conversion will be taxable on your return. &amp;nbsp;You cannot avoid this. &amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-size:14px;"&gt;However, the current year Roth IRA Modified Adjusted Gross Income (MAGI) calculation removes any income derived from a Traditional IRA to Roth IRA conversion, so your current year Roth IRA contribution will not be affected by the conversion already completed.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
