I am getting a message that I might have duplicate form 1099-OIDs. They do appear to be duplicate although only one was entered. When I try to delete 1 nothing happens.

If your 1099-OID won't delete, try this first: Log out of the program and log back in. You can also clear your cache and cookies. This often helps the functionality of the program.

When you attempted to delete your Form 1099-OID, did your screens look like the ones below?

You can get to the section in TurboTax to delete your Form 1099-OID as follows:

Click on the Search Icon at the top right of your screen.
Type the following exactly like this in the search box: "1099-oid original issue discount"
Click the link "Jump to 1099-oid original issue discount"
Click on "Continue"
You should see your "Form 1099-OID Summary"
Select "Delete"

To successfully delete a Form 1099-OID your screen(s) should look something like this:

Select "Delete" next to your Form 1099-OID.

You should get a popup box asking you to confirm your deletion of the form.

The form should no longer be displayed.

To get back to your TurboTax screen(s) to delete your Form 1099-OID, you can search for "1099-oid original issue discount"

Hello Linda. Thanks for your help. I ended up deleting all the OID forms and entering them manually since I only had 8 of them. That worked out for me.

I had someone on the phone from TurboTax and they couldn't figure out how to delete the extra one either so that was the way I decided to do it the way I did.
