Does the turbotax standard edition have the same format as the old turbotax programs. When working on the program does it look like you are looking at your paper tax forms?

Are you in Canada? Standard is a Canada version. This is the USA forum. Here is the Canada forum

I think I did see some posts about a new Standard version for the USA. I don't know if that is a Desktop program or an Online version. But the USA Desktop programs are the same as before. You can enter your forms using the Step by Step interview method or the directly on the forms in Forms mode. The Online version does not have the Forms mode.

No. TurboTax Standard is like the other TurboTax Online versions. You are shown a series of questions instead of entering information directly on forms.
If you want a TurboTax version where you can see the forms and make entries directly on them, you will need TurboTax Desktop.
