BI am trying to view my partially completed tax forms, so I can verify my entries so far and understand how TT is treating them.

I want to review my entire Fed form before starting the state forms.

During entry, if I pause to look up a number, I usually get kicked out and must log in to restart. Even tho I choose to go to where I was, it's not clear to me whether the entry I was working on was fully or partially saved. I need to see the IRS forms!

Yesterday I reentered one form 4 times, to find 2 versions of it were saved, one complete and the other incomplete.

You can only view the actual forms in the TurboTax Desktop product. If you're using TurboTax Online, close the program, clear your Cache and Cookies and return to the section you want to review.
