I took out $35,000 from my 40lK and put it in a Roth. I then paid the IRS an estimated tax payment of $4,000. I received a 1099-R but it doesn't have the $4,000 pretax payment on it. How do I account for that $4,000 I already paid toward the tax in turbo tax desk top.

You will enter it in TurboTax as an estimated payment. See Where do I enter my estimated tax payments?

Thank you so much! I have been stressing over this problem and didn't want to pay a tax accountant hundreds of dollars just because of this one issue. 🙂
