      <description>&lt;P&gt;Sorry no. &amp;nbsp;If you only get SS or SSDI it is not taxable and you don’t need to file a tax return. &amp;nbsp;It is not earned income from working to qualify for the EIC. &amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;You must have earned income from work to be eligible for the Child Tax Credit and the Earned Income Tax Credit.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Your Social Security benefits are not earned income and if that is the only income you receive you do not have to file a 2024 tax return.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Sorry--no. &amp;nbsp; If your only income is Social Security you are not eligible for earned income credit. &amp;nbsp;EIC is based on having income from working. &amp;nbsp; In fact, if SS is your only income you are not required to file a tax return unless you have a 1095A for marketplace health insurance.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
