    <description>&lt;P&gt;If you have a withdrawal from the Roth IRA in 2023 then you should have received a Form 1099-R from the administrator of the account in January 2024.&amp;nbsp; The Form 1099-R has to be reported on your federal tax return.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;To enter, edit or delete a form 1099-R -&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Click on Federal Taxes (Personal using Home and Business)&lt;BR /&gt;Click on Wages and Income (Personal Income using Home and Business)&lt;BR /&gt;Click on I'll choose what I work on (if shown)&lt;BR /&gt;Scroll down to Retirement Plans and Social Security&lt;BR /&gt;On IRA, 401(k), Pension Plan Withdrawals (1099-R), click the start or update button&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Or enter&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;1099-r&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;in the&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;U&gt;Search&lt;/U&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;box located in the upper right of the program screen.       <description>&lt;P&gt;Yes, you must report the withdrawals. &amp;nbsp;Even though they might not be taxable, they count as "income" for certain other calculations. &amp;nbsp;Also, if you are under age 59-1/2, the IRS may assume your withdrawal is taxable and subject to a penalty unless you certify (by filing) that you are only withdrawing your original contributions, and not earnings.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
