I've been in Iowa over 3 years caring for my mother in her home. My AZ driver license expired so I got an Iowa driver license and registered to vote in Iowa for federal elections. My retirement and investment accounts are serviced by AZ business office (the 1099R address is in MN). I have 1099INTs from AZ bank. It seems to me that none of my income should be allocated to AZ, but I want to make sure. AZ seems to consider me an AZ resident due to owning a home, registering vehicles in AZ, and banking with AZ businesses

You will need to make a determination about which state is your resident state, there is no one determining factor but rather you should consider a number of factors (you are already on the right track - review the examples in the article below).

You are correct that if you are a resident of Iowa that Arizona would not tax your investment income. If you rented out your home that you rented in AZ or has business income in AZ those would be taxable, even if you are an IA resident.
