      <description>&lt;P&gt;You do not need to compute the number for box 2a.&amp;nbsp; If it was left blank on your Form 1099-R, then that is the way you need to enter the 1099-R.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;There will be follow-up questions after you enter the 1099-R that will ask you all the questions needed so that TurboTax can calculate the taxable portion.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
