    <description>&lt;P&gt;I am an independent demonstrator (contractor) non-employee.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;My 1099 reflects gross which includes an hourly wage plus demo products that I paid for but is reimbursed and included in the gross.&amp;nbsp; Can I deduct the expense so as not to be calculated in total taxed earnings?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Where do I deduct these expenses for the product in TT?&amp;nbsp; These products are not machinery or computers...Please help&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Yes, you can deduct the purchases as an expense on your return.&amp;nbsp; Because you have the 1099 MISC income, a Schedule C form will be created with your return and the business expenses get deducted on there as well.&amp;nbsp; See the steps below to be brought to Schedule C expense entry.&amp;nbsp; You can enter them as supplies under the &lt;B&gt;Other Common Business Expenses&lt;/B&gt; section.&amp;nbsp; See the sample screenshot attached.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;
