topic Has anyone else had a problem with the (QEF) Quick Employer Forms transmitting 1099-NEC forms? I e-filed them on Jan. 31st but they didn't get submitted until Feb. 1st. in Retirement tax questions

After clicking on the E-file button, it showed Submission in Progress. I printed my forms and emailed them to my vendors. I received an email from Intuit that they were submitted on Feb. 1st- late. The transmission slip that prints after all the forms doesn't have a date or time stamp on it. How do I prove I e-filed them on time.

The IRS is sometimes delayed in their acknowledgement both for these forms and tax returns when filed on the deadline. You can be assured they will not indicate you filed your forms late. I have not known any case where they contacted anyone for the late filing when the acknowledgement is so close to the due date. It will be evident they were filed on time.
