Retired Fed. with special ROTH withdraw waiver for disbursement under age 59 ½. Issued 1099-R with box 7 code 2B for such withdrawal as per Public Law 114-26, but Turbo Tax won’t allow me to transmit information as it flags this as second code “B” is not used for IRA distributions. System won’t allow transmission until I change code.

When you entered the code-2B Form 1099-R, you mistakenly answered Yes when TurboTax asked if the distribution was from a Roth IRA. This is a trick question to which the only correct answer is No. The code B indicates that the distribution is from a designated Roth account in an employer plan and not from a Roth IRA.

Edit your entry of this From 1099-R and indicate that the distribution is not from a Roth IRA.
