Please clarify which version of TurboTax you are using and what type of company you are reporting.

In most cases, the date of formation is found under the Business Information section at the beginning of the Business topic. Where exactly this question appears depends on the actual TurboTax product.

Go into the business section of your program and on the screen that says Your (name of company) Business, update the Business Profile. On the next screen that says Lets confirm your business info edit the Acquired business in current year option and on the next page indicate that you started the business in the current year and you will be asked to enter the start date.

i went to the business section by clicking on the business Tab, and I didn't find anything. Does that mean i didn't do anything yet? Let me know, how I can enter my company information starting from this tab, business.

If the Business section of TurboTax does not display your business info, please clarify where you saw the incorrect date of formation. A screenshot would be helpful.
