Box 12 with a code S - Employee salary reduction contributions under a section 408(p) SIMPLE plan

On a W-2 does not cause any errors during Federal Review or Review on the 2023 TurboTax tax return.

But yeah, there apparently was a change the IRS issued a notice about on 8 January....and it may take TTX a few weeks to integrate those changes, depending on how major the changes were.

Don't know exactly what thsoe changes were though. Far too technical for mere mortals.

I don't see how any of the SECURE 2.0 Act changes affect how code S is to be treated on the employees tax return. Perhaps the TurboTax developers are just being cautious.

I’m having the same issue. Hopefully this gets fixed soon
