More than likely there is a Form 8915-F Worksheet, a Form 8915-F and a Form 1099-R that transferred from the 2022 return to your 2023 return. Delete those forms to resolve this issue.

Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the online program screen

I'm having this same issue. I deleted both the Form 8915-F and Form 1099-R. I don't have a Form 8915-F Worksheet in the listing, but I have "carryover worksheet" ... should I delete that one?

Apparently, from the situation you described , all your distributions were used up in the prior years of 2020, 2021 and 2022. That being the case, there should be no carryover worksheet as the disaster distribution is spread over a period of not more than 3 years. I would delete the carryover worksheet as well.

I think we are having the same problem. The 1/3 amount is appearing as distribution but we also finished with that last year. Did you get it figured out after your deleted the form?

Some thing that’s a bit confusing is the question have you ever taken a disaster related distribution prior to 2023. how do we handle that if we are all through with the distributions ?

The Form 8915-F Worksheet and the Form 8915-F along with the Form 1099-R were transferred from the 2022 tax return and need to be deleted. There may also be a "Qualified Disaster Retirement Plan Distributions" and/or a "2020 Disaster Distribution" form listed that has to be deleted.

Just to help others I’ll add - We also had to delete in addition to the 8915 F . A form entitled “ qualified disaster, distributions from retirement plan”( or something like that ) Simply deleting the 8915 F did not help us .
