Why is Turbotax 2023 adding part of the distribution from a 2020 covid distribution?

2022 should be the third and final year for repayment. 2020, 2021, 2022 were the years when qualified disaster distribution from a retirement account were applied and taxes paid.

The current version of 2023 Turbotax adds another 1/3 of the original distribution

There may be files that transferred over from 2022 that is causing this issue.

Delete any Form 8915-F Worksheets and Form 8915-F if listed in the forms list. Also if a Form 1099-R transferred over from 2022, delete that form.

Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the online program screen

Click on Tools

Click on Delete a form
