The 2023 CD/download is already available. The online software for 2023 returns will become available in early December.

It depends on the type of Form 1099 you are needing to enter. If you are referring to a Form 1099-R then the availability date for those forms is 12/07/2023.

Forms 1099-R can presently be entered in forms mode of the CD/download version, but that should be considered only when doing a simulated tax return due to the complexity of getting the entries right. Ultimately the Forms 1099-R should be entered in step-by-step mode.
