      <description>&lt;P&gt;And so you know---you are too late to get a refund for tax year 2019 even if your tax form shows a refund.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;You have missed the deadline to get a 2019 refund and the IRS will just keep it.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;However, if you owe tax due, you are subject to late penalties and interest.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;TurboTax will "retire" the 2019 software very soon, so if you need to prepare 2019, do it asap&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P class="p1"&gt;If you are getting a refund, there is not a penalty for filing past the deadline.&lt;SPAN class="Apple-converted-space"&gt;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/SPAN&gt;If you owe taxes, the interest/penalties will be calculated by the IRS based on how much you owe and when they receive your return and payment. The IRS will bill you for this; it will not be calculated by TurboTax.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;a href="https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/75685"&gt;@kgalegher&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;- as the deadline to claim a refund for 2019 has already passed, do note that the deadline to claim a refund for the 2020 tax year is May 15, 2024 (3 years after the original filing deadline), unless you requested an extension back then and it was accepted, in which case the deadline to claim a refund is Oct 15, 2024.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
