No is the correct answer because non-qualified annuities are not subject to required minimum distribution (RMD) rules.

My wife was a beneficiary when her mom passed away and inherited 3 non qualified annuities. The distribution code is 4D on the 1099r. One of them will be distributed over 5 years and the taxable amount was less than tot distr. the next one was a total distr with block 2a showing 0.00 in the block there was also a value in block 5 which was about 100 dollars more than block 1 and was 34 percent block 9a and the third one had a value in block 2a which was less than block 1nothing in block 5 and was also 34 per cent block 9a . There were three beneficiaries. My question is when inputting the data the question comes up is this an RMD if yes then ask if all or partial if answer no then continues on. Which is the correct answer. For now I selected no in all three cases.

The RMD question does not apply to distributions from nonqualified annuities, so it doesn't matter what answer you give. (TurboTax shouldn't even be asking the question because it is only asking to determine how much of the distribution is eligible for rollover, and any distribution reported with code D in box 7 is ineligible for rollover.)
