      <description>&lt;P&gt;My wife turned 72 in 2022 and took her 1st IRA RMD on Jan 18th of 2023 as IRS Pub 590-B states she had until April 1st 2023 to take it. Can we claim that as income for 2022 on our tax form?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;No it goes on your 2023 return next year. &amp;nbsp;And she needs to take her 2023 RMD by Dec31, 2023 also. &amp;nbsp;So there will be 2 RMD to report on your 2023 return next year. &amp;nbsp;I suppose you will get one 1099R for them both by Jan 31, 2024.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
