topic Defined Benefit Pension 1099-R Payer(s) not the same as previous year. Previous year related questions in Retirement tax questions

For my defined benefit pension this year, I have received (2) 1099-R forms. For earlier years I received one form. Part way through the year the payer changed. The payer information and Federal ID on neither form is the same as previous years. I deleted the information from the previous year and had no difficulty entering the data from the 2 forms. Everything looks OK to me when I look at a the Turbo Tax print preview for the forms. However, after entering the data, the related questions in the step by step method, are causing some confusion. There are questions asking if I received this pension in previous years and also has the amount changed. Although I tend to view it as the same pension with the same total amount, the two separate forms with changed payers and ID number make it look different. For responded no to the question regarding previous years. How are the responses regarding previous years and changed amounts used? I do not see those responses in the Turbo tax printable 1099-R

Those questions can be confusing and for a pension totally useless so you can either delete both 1099-R forms and start that section again OR simply believe me by answering ...

There are questions asking if I received this pension in previous years YES and also has the amount changed NO.

Thanks, I did re-enter the data with responses suggested. After looking at the print preview, I can't say that I noticed in any difference in the completed form.
