Directions made 8857 seem the only way to get to 8379, so I began filling out 8857, then realized it was N/A. How do I delete my entries from Form 8857 in TurboTax? TY!

The directions made it seem there was just one option to get to the Injured Spouse Form -- or that it could be one and the same form for both. Boy, was I wrong! My situation is very amicable, so 8857 just doesn't apply to us. I stopped, but TT doesn't show any option to edit or delete 8857 from my information. Help!

Choose your method of deletion:

Online: A simple way to delete forms in TurboTax online is to use the Tax Tools menu option, which is on your left menu bar when you are working in your program. Then, choose Tools and then Delete a form.
Desktop: If you are working in the download TurboTax program, use the Forms Mode on your menu bar to bring up the form you want to delete, then choose the Delete Form option at the bottom of the form.

Thanks Amy! New to this portal, and being at my wit's end last night to get help before the tax-filing deadline passed, I was also unaware my screen name would be made public. I managed to get my question answered last night via 'Chat', and I've just now seen your reply, which is the same. Much appreciated! Would you help me get my posts deleted from Community now please?

I'm a fellow user. If you want to change your forum display name (username), it should also change it in backwards fashion to prior posts as well.

To do that, click the user icon in the top right corner of this page and select My Settings.

The My Settings page may already open with your forum username displayed, and you simply type the new one in the box.

If it doesn't open that page then navigate My Settings > Personal tab > Username subtab.

You're welcome. Once you change your forum username using the steps I provided above, you can confirm it this way:

Click the user icon in the top right corner of this page and choose MY PROFILE.

See if the new username is displayed on your profile page.

On that profile page there is also a list of your posts/actions. You can review those threads to see if the change occurred on your previous posts.
