No, you cannot "refile" your taxes, but you can amend your taxes (a different process).

***

Once you file a return, you cannot "edit" it. It's like sending a letter through the mail - once it's mailed you can't call it back to change it.

However, there is a process to "amend" your return. You can do this after the IRS is finished with the initial e-file processing. You usually know this when they send you a refund (if you deserve one).

The form to amend your return is the 1040X which I don't think is available yet in TurboTax.

Since you have already filed, you will need to amend your return. Please see this TurboTax Help page on how to amend.

Be sure to watch this page from time to time to see when (and how) you can start the process.

Yes, but it's a long process. You can amend using TurboTax even if you did not prepare the original return in TurboTax.

However, you will have to enter your original information exactly as you filed before you begin. In other words, you'd be doing your taxes for a second time–just not filing an original return.

After your info matches what you filed (and you paid for TurboTax) then you can start amending.

For instructions see How to amend (change or correct) a return you've already filed. If you do not see instructions for 2021, it means the 2021 amend section is not ready yet.

If you are filing a state return, you may have to amend state as well.
