My 17 year old son received $2500 1099-nec income. If I classify it as "other income" it prompts form 8615 to be completed "unearned income" which this is not. If I go the schedule C route it wants me to fill out his business information. This was not his personal business. It was a simple seasonal door to door political opinion poll in 2020 run by a consulting firm. If I go the schedule C route he owes more. I feel like it's "Other income" but it is earned. What should I do? Which is correct? Thanks
