topic 1099R in Retirement tax questions

when I went to TT to download last years return (that was thru Turbo Tax) it told me file was too large so I need to input: when I attempt to input 1099R, I have to ADD but it tells me the government is still working on it and won't let me. What's UP?

1) Run the software updates. Those forms have been ready for months now.

2) Then download and install the manual updates. (might not be able to download with Chrome...use Edge).

Have used TT for years but now you mention it, I don't recall when it was installing that it went automatically to updates and I did buy my disc some time back. I will give this a try. thanks
