Keep in mind that the stimulus payments phase out at certain income levels, so you may have received the full amount for which you qualified, but still less than the maximum.

If it's showing you 2 amounts but you didn't get those amounts say No and then enter the actual amounts you got in the 2 boxes. To see if you qualify for anymore.

You will need to review your input to ensure the correct stimulus payments received are reflected on your tax returns. The Recovery Rebate Credit is calculated based upon your input and is used to account for any stimulus payments you may not have received yet but were entitled to.

Recovery Rebate Credit eligibility

When you prepare your 2020 income tax return, be sure to do the following to ensure the credit is calculated correctly on your income tax return.

In the Federal section, select the Federal Review interview section at the top of the screen.

This will take you to the input section for the Recovery Rebate credit.

Be sure to indicate the actual amount of each stimulus payment you received on the page that asks if you received a stimulus payment.

There will be two boxes and both need to be completed.

If you did not receive any stimulus payments, please indicate We didn't get a stimulus payment by checking that box.

Problem is, I did get those 2 amounts shown but it’s missing an additional child that I have ........ I got a return for 2 children but I have 3, so I’m missing a child payment of both stimulus checks

I still fell under the amount and was qualified, I was paid the amount shown but they are missing one of my children.

Did your child turn 17 in 2020? Dependents have to be under 17 to get the Stimulus.

Oh I forgot to ask...was one born in 2020? And you are claiming all 3 this year? Or did your income increase in 2020? It may have phased out.

The youngest was born in 2017, which all 3 children were claimed by my wife and I for our 2018 taxes. I’m in the Army so pay doesn’t change too much and yes I’ll be claiming them again

Just make sure all 3 are showing up as dependents on your return. Maybe delete them and re enter them under My Info. It's easy to mark a question wrong like if they paid more than half of their support. So I figure you should qualify for $6,900? First round 2400+1500 and 2nd round 1200+1800?

How much stimulus checks did you get?
