It is on schedule for 02/25. There are 5 different 8915 forms available since 2016 (each year has its own form) for various different disaster distributions. None of these forms have ever been able to be e-filed in TurboTax. Originally, the 8915-E was set to function as all of the others (8915-A, B, C, and D). However, due to the number of taxpayers affected by the 2020 disasters (mainly covid, but there are others included with the 2020 (E) version), our engineers are working hard to ensure that TurboTax can e-file the 8915-E.

The other disaster forms have been pushed back and will still need to be filed by mail. Getting the 8915-E ready, and not just to include in returns, but to also e-file the form has taken priority.

This is the 3rd time the date has been changed for this form to be available. Is Turbox tax sure the system will update on 02/25/2021 this time around or will it be pushed back until it is no longer free and then release the update??
