I had do an amendment to my 2019 tax return because my husband retired and received have of his pension last year and we received a 1099 but he did not included in our tax folder. After I finished doing the 2019 return he asked about this distribution of his pension. I did an amendment and see that the state return has a refund and the refund is the same amount that was deducted. Does the state of Illinois no tax the pension distribution?

No, Illinois does not tax distributions from pension plans.

Does Illinois tax my pension, social security, or retirement income?
