Your 1099-B comes from your broker. You might be able to go online to your account and download it or request that it be mailed to you. Sometimes these forms take longer to get.

If you sold stock through a brokerage, a 1099-B should have been issued. Check with the company. Your 1099-B may also be available to view and download online from your account, as mentioned by leeloo above.

Once you have the information, if you enter the 1099-B information yourself rather than import it:

Normally, if you type in "jump to Form 1099-B" in the Search window (by clicking on the hourglass icon in the upper right) it will take you to the section, Your Investments and Savings. TurboTax will automatically populate a Form 1099-B as appropriate based on the information you enter in this section.

If the "jump to" function doesn't work, just go to Wages and Income and scroll down to Investments and Savings.

From there:

Scroll down and click on the box "+Add investments"
Click Continue
Select one of the brokerages that appears in order to import their data, or click Enter a Different Way
Click on the appropriate box that represents the type of investment you are entering. Choosing to enter Stocks and Bonds, or Cryptocurrency will lead you to the entry screens for your Form 1099-B.

You would enter it the same way, but answer that no, you did not receive Form 1099-B.

You would need to know the cost, the sales price, the name of the stock and how long you held it.

To enter an investment sale from a brokerage account follow the steps below.

Click on Federal Taxes (Personal using Home and Business)
Click on Wages and Income (Personal Income using Home and Business)
Click on I'll choose what I work on (if shown)
Under Investment Income
On Stocks, Mutual Funds, Bonds, Other, click the start or update button

To enter the stock sale without a 1099-B follow these instructions:

Click on Income & Investments
Scroll to Investments and Savings and click on Start (or Edit or Review)
Click on Add Investments. And then Continue on the next page
Choose to Enter a different way
Pick Stocks, Bonds, Mutual Funds and Continue
Which bank or brokerage sent you a 1099-B for these sales?, Enter name of brokerage, and Continue
Answer questions on next page and Continue
Now, Choose how to enter your sales, One by one, Continue
Continue past the page Look for your sales on your 1099-B
You can enter your sales on the next page.
In the first box, Sales section, Choose Short-term (or long-term) did not receive 1099-B form

Continue with the information for your sales
