      <description>&lt;P&gt;You don't say how old you were on Dec 31 of the tax year, or if you were a full time student for any one semester that started in the tax year. That matters.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;If you're looking for a way for your parents to not qualify to claim you, depending on the cercumstances that may not be possible. It just depends on the fine details. There are very, very few undergraduates that do not qualify as a dependent on their parent's tax return.&lt;/P&gt;
