Nonresident Alabama, sold rental property at a loss -- need to file Ala return?

We're not residents of Alabama. We sold our Alabama rental house at a loss this year. Also had schedule E losses from this property. The property never produced income while we had it rented out (2005-2017). No other Alabama income or losses.

Yes, you will need to file a non-resident return for Alabama. Your rental property in AL had rent income and expenses.
