    <description>&lt;P&gt;Vanguard is only reporting percentages of total as the foreign income from mutual funds on their "Mutual Fund and UIT Supplemental Information" page (both total and qualified divs). Are we obliged to calculate the level of this income using those percentages? (I don't think that was the case in previous years. )&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;only ii you're claiming any foreign tax credit in excess of $300 if filing status is other than married filing jointly. FOR MFJ the limit is $600.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;if you don't claim more than the max allowed form 1116 is not required. if you do the form won't be available until 3/3/2021 (Turbotax estimate)&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Thank you for the clarification. But if one does need to report the income, it looks as though one has to do the calculation oneself. True?&lt;/P&gt;</description>
