How to enter Capital Loss Carry Forward in Turbo Tax 2018.

In previous years the Capital Loss Carry Forward was automatically transferred to the next year. In 2018 the option of transferring the 2017 return to 2018 is not available.

You can type Capital Loss Carryover in the search bar and TurboTax will provide a jump link for you to click and be brought right to the section of TurboTax to input the capital loss carryover.

When asked "Do you know your capital loss carryover amounts?", select yes. If your prior year loss was carried over and you are not aware of it, you will see it on the next screen.
