As a self employed individual, if you use your workspace regularly and exclusively for business, you may be
able to deduct home office expense.

You would divide the square footage of the area you use regularly and exclusively for business by the total square footage of the apartment and deduct that fraction accordingly.

For
more details, see:

Can I take the home
office deduction?
