Wells Fargo Advisor cannot be found

Hi,

Question for TT 2025:

I cannot find Wells Fargo Advisor on the list for import. Tried to use Wells Fargo but import failed. There are only Wells Fargo and Wells Fargo Clearing Services on the list.

Any suggestions?

According to the below linked FAQ page at Wells Fargo Advisors, it looks like they use Wells Fargo Clearing Services.

On that FAQ page scroll way down to "Filing Your Taxes." Find the question "How do I upload tax data to TurboTax?" and expand that section to see the specific directions.

If the instructions on how to import into TurboTax in that Wells Fargo Advisors FAQ don't work for you, then you may have to call WFA if you're having difficulty with your username and password. There is something to check. however. The instructions in the FAQ linked above does say the following.

"If your Wells Fargo Advisors password includes a special character (such as #, $, etc.), TurboTax® may not accept your valid WFA password."

So if you have a special character, change your WFA password to not include one. After you import your data, you can change your WFA password back to whatever you want.

Removed special characters from pwd. Didn't work either.

Aw shucks. You can talk to WFA on Monday to see if they can tell why it's not liking your log-in credentials, or if they have any additional or new instructions for importing your data.
